The Texas Auctioneers Association held their Annual Convention June 10 - 13, 2010 in Arlington, Texas.  A highlight of the Conference was the election of new TAA officers and directors at the TAA Annual Meeting. Scott Swenson, CAI, Lakeway, Texas, was elected president. A former director, Secretary/Treasurer and president elect of the Board, Swenson has been an active member of the TAA since 1984.  Scott is the President of United Country - Jones Swenson Auction Marketing with offices in Austin and Dallas. His company specializes in real estate auctions as well as auctions of commercial, industrial and specialized assets.

More than 200+ auctioneers, support personnel and guests, from throughout Texas gathered to induct their new officers and attend continuing education seminars.  These seminars are designed to enhance attendee skills and grow their businesses.

With more than 500+ members throughout Texas, the Texas Auctioneers Association is the largest organization of its kind dedicated to promoting the auction method of marketing and enhancing the professionalism of its members.
